ABOUT THE ROLE

The role will support the team in the financial management of Kinesso UK, a trading division of Mediabrands UK Ltd, reporting into the Reporting Manager. The job will require you to work closely with the rest of the Reporting Finance team and the Commercial Finance team, ensuring the smooth running of the agencies finances.

The Finance team consists of 70 permanent staff headed up by the EMEA CFO. The department adds value to the agencies within Mediabrands by providing operational support and best practice.

The Assistant Management Accountant shall contribute towards the monthly financial reporting of Kinesso UK, a trading division of Mediabrands Limited in a fast paced, dynamic environment from the initial coding of costs through to post reporting analysis.

KEY TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Preparing monthly Management Accounts to review including writing variance analysis.
  • Reporting timely and accurate results to central finance teams and regional controller teams.
  • Working closely with the rest of the Reporting Finance team to ensure consistency and ability to cover and collaborate to meet tight deadlines.
  • Ensuring client revenue is accurately recognised in line with IPG policy and updated in SAP.
  • Responsible for monitoring aged client WIP balances and working with the billing and account teams to resolve old items.
  • Responsible for some intercompany recharges – ensuring they are maintained and processed in line with agreed figures.
  • Creating and posting journals.
  • Working closely with the Commercial Finance team to understand variances to forecast.
  • Providing ad hoc analysis as required, and support with running ad-hoc projects to streamline and enhance financial reporting.
  • Identifying and implementing process improvements to increase efficiencies within the team.
  • Completing schedules in Hyperion at Month End.
  • Responding to queries from senior management, controllers, non-finance employees and auditors.
