Responsibilities

•Produce chip qualification reports for the external customers and internal customers/stakeholders as well as proper documentations for the future generation products.  

•Assessment/evaluation of semiconductor and optical component ageing characteristics, failure modes & associated risks.

•Reliability study based on solid knowledge of physics-of-failures.

•Problem solving, test engineering, testing and statistical data analysis

Key relationships

• Working closely with the Chip Reliability managers and Senior Reliability Engineers who will define the testing required.
• Close working with other reliability engineers to determine the data processing and analysis required.
• Close working with the test development team to commission new reliability test kit and ensure test kit is well maintained.

Experience required.

• BS in physics, electronic engineering, material science or similar related discipline.  
• Statistical software package: JMP, Minitab etc
• Reliability Analysis and Reliability Modelling software such as Reliasoft Weibull++
• Excellent report writing and presentation skills, able to robustly defend data analysis and conclusions where necessary.
• Failure analysis of Electronics/Photonic Devices
• Test engineering.

Skills/Competencies Desirable:

• Opto-electronic/electronic component, design, performance, processing and operation
• Hands-on experience in using FIB-SEM, TEM and EDSOTHER REQUIREMENTS
• Experience in opto-electronic component reliability and qualification (to Telcordia standards) would be desirable.
• Good interpersonal and project management skills.
• Willing & able to pro-actively engage with other groups within the company both verbally and via written communication.
• Self-motivated, energetic, able to work to deadlines.
• The flexibility to cope with rapidly changing objectives, age, religion/beliefs, or any other reason which cannot be shown to be justified.
