Job Summary: The ideal candidate will gain valuable experience in the day-to-day operations of Partnerships Sales and Premium Sales at T-Mobile Center, Kansas City’s downtown arena. The candidate will assist in planning, execution, activation, service and fulfillment activities in support of maximizing revenue and achieving business objectives while creating unforgettable moments for clients and guests through the power of live entertainment.
Responsibilities:
- Assist with long-term initiatives and day-to-day responsibilities in support of Partnerships and Premium Sales and Activation
- Support Sales & Activation teams in a variety of areas including event planning, client-facing interaction, service, hospitality, reporting, special projects and direct sales as assigned
- Prepare, execute and actively participate in departmental and client meetings
- Assist with preparation, execution, evaluation and reporting related to client activation and event-related activities as directed
- Conduct market research to identify potential leads and promotional ideas including identifying trends and future opportunities
- Prepare pitch and other marketing materials as needed including post-event recaps for partners (sponsorship ROI and measurement)
- Identify potential leads and opportunities for strategic alignment with prospective brands and clients
- Support day-to-day sales operations including scheduling, pipeline activity & reporting
- Collaborate on multiple cross-functional projects to help identify areas of improvement and provide actionable insights to internal stakeholders
- Assist with daily processes and other long-term projects as assigned
Qualifications:
- Recent graduates or current Juniors/Seniors at an accredited four-year university, majoring in Sports Marketing, Communications, Marketing, or a related field
- Positive attitude and desire for hands-on experience with excellent problem-solving skills
- Self-motivated and goal-oriented with excellent communication skills—both verbal and written—and the ability to present ideas effectively
- Eager to learn and contribute as part of a dynamic team
- Thrive in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail, initiative and commitment to excellence
- Ability to organize work effectively, prioritize objectives and exercise independent judgment based on an understanding of goals and objectives
- High level of interpersonal skills to think strategically and manage confidential information and situations
- Team player with a positive attitude, self-confidence, professionalism, resourcefulness, integrity, motivation, strong work ethic and professional appearance and attitude
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and willingness to learn new software and tools
- Ability to work a flexible schedule including events on evenings and weekends
- All internship positions are in-person; no remote opportunities are available at this time
- 2025 internships will begin on or before Feb. 4 and conclude by May 31 or other mutually agreeable date
