Job Summary

Maintains level of cleanliness in the forming department by sweeping and disposing of cullet, painting, and pressure washing equipment and surrounding area. At times, may be required to operate IS Machine.

MAIN POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

Maintains level of cleanliness in the forming department by sweeping and disposing of cullet, painting, and pressure washing equipment and surrounding area.  At times, may be required to operate IS Machine.

DUTIES:

• Use of pressure washer to clean floors
• Assists in the removal of equipment
• Sweeps area of cullet

• Swab molds and blanks
• Oil moving parts
• Make general checks of finished ware
• Use of scales to determine proper weights and gauge dimensions
• Establish cause for defects
• Changes equipment on machine such as molds, blanks, and rings
• Make adjustments with computer and mechanical adjustments
• Remove jams on conveyors
• Report machine activity and other data into computer system
• All other duties assigned

EDUCATION AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS:

Carded Journeyman Machine Operator (Glass manufacturing)

Ability to acquire forklift certification

Must be able to work rotating shift work

Have to ability to withstand extreme temperatures

Great communication skills

Any offer is contingent upon satisfactory completion of a background check and a pre-employment drug test.
