Key member of the Global Risk Management team, responsible for risk management support of McKesson Corporation operations. Assists with claim management, projects and other duties that require broad claim technical acumen, cultural adeptness, and a proactive customer centric focused approach in supporting McKesson’s risk management philosophy.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support strategic objectives in ensuring effective claims/data management, claim administration and other functions within the risk management team.  Responsibilities includes incident/claim reporting, claim monitoring, support RTW program, data and report production and distribution, data verification and correction, regulatory reporting to state agencies as required for insurance programs and other risk management projects.
  • Effectively assess and monitor both Workers’ Compensation and some Auto Liability claims.  Assist with coordination of TPA claim reviews and other claim related activities.
  • Assists with the management of data tracking, payment processing, invoice review and cost allocations. Works with broker and TPA partners to ensure claim coding and reports are validated.  Provide data /analytic reports as requested by team and internal/external business partners.
  • Responsible for fulfilling state reporting requirements associated with self-insurance and other compliance requirements.
  • Act as a liaison between the business units and the risk management group by promoting a positive environment of collaboration and excellent customer service. Provide support, education, and training to staff to promote claim and risk awareness within the organization.

Specialized Knowledge/Skills –

  • Experience in supporting insurance programs.
  • Experience in incident reporting and claims management.
  • Skilled with Excel, PowerPoint, and adept at learning data platforms.
  • Strong project management skills with ability to manage multiple competing priorities.
  • Adaptable to a changing and dynamic environment.
  • Motivated and customer-oriented self-starter with strong interpersonal skills.
  • Effective communicator (both verbal and written) with ability to direct, influence and motivate others, maintaining a persuasive and credible presentation style at all levels of the organization.

Minimum Job Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities):

Education/Training –

Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution with a strong preference in clinical, Risk Management, Finance or other applicable field.

Business Experience –
Minimum of 4+ years of progressive insurance industry experience. Multi-line claim experience with emphasis in Workers’ Compensation.

Working Conditions:

Environment (Office, warehouse, etc.) –

  • Traditional office environment
  • Accommodation to different time zones in continental US.
  • Travel - 5%, domestic.

Physical Requirements (Lifting, standing, etc.) –

Large percent of time performing computer-based work is required

Our Base Pay Range for this position

$75,000 - $125,000
