EMEA Senior Statutory Reporting Expert

A position for an ambitious financial with excellent career perspective. We are looking for someone to take care of the statutory reporting in EMEA for, amongst others, the Dutch and UK-activities of Sensata Technologies.

Functional reporting

With support of the financial controllers and colleagues from the accounting center of excellence, the financial shared services center, and other financial disciplines, as the Statutory Reporting subject matter expert you ensure external financial reporting compliance. As the EMEA Statutory Reporting Specialist you will report directly to the EMEA Accounting Manager, who is based in the Netherlands.

Your responsibilities

  • Preparing and reviewing statutory financial statements in compliance with relevant accounting standards and regulations
  • Preparing related and/or required account reconciliations
  • Supporting the statutory audit process, liaising with external auditors
  • Working with the tax team to determine proper proper tax position and disclosures
  • Coordinate work of cross-functional teams to ensure alignment on financial reporting matters
  • Monitoring changes in accounting standards and regulations, assessing the potential impact on financial reporting processes, providing expert advice and influence decision making
  • Streamline financial reporting by new or improved methods/techniques/processes
  • Supporting the development and execution of internal controls and procedures

What do we ask of you?

  • Bachelor or Master-degree in Accounting, Business Administration or Business Economics
  • Minimum of 6 years relevant working experience, ideally in a large, multinational company and/or an international accountancy firm
  • Knowledge and experience with US GAAP, Dutch GAAP, UK GAAP and IFRS
  • Knowledge and experience with Hyperion and Oracle are an advantage
  • Willing to travel abroad
  • Excellent English language skills, both spoken and written
