This role is part of Blue Origin Operations, which is comprised of Integrated Supply Chain, Facilities, and Security. This includes Manufacturing and Supply Chain support across all Blue Origin facilities, but more specifically in support of the Blue Engines program in an avionics hardware role.

As part of a hardworking team of diverse engineers, you will enable and support the manufacturing and delivery of critical avionics hardware in the design of rocket engines for launch vehicles and in-space projects. You will support procurement and bridge the technical gap between internal program engineering and Blue Origin’s critical supplier partners. You will enable on-time delivery of hardware by solving technical issues within the supply base, mitigating non-conformances, generating DfX (design for manufacturability, cost, logistics, etc) feedback, and driving the creation and supplier adherence to strategic and sourceable statements of work.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Resolving technical issues with effective and robust corrective actions while developing and sustaining suitable manufacturing processes in the supply base to satisfy part and program requirements.
Owning technical risk identification and mitigation strategies at the supplier. This includes being the first on-site at the supplier to engage and facilitate failure investigations and RCCA activity as needed.
Engaging with avionics commodity colleagues across the Blue Origin Engines business unit/
Recovering or maintaining critical corrective action and manufacturing schedules and ensuring requirement conformance at supplier partners.
Reviewing statements of work for sourceability while holding supplier partners accountable for statements of work compliance.
Identifying and providing DfX feedback to design engineering and supplier partners.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor of Science in Engineering from an accredited university (Electrical Engineering or equivalent electronics engineering preferred).
2+ years of related avionics hardware manufacturing experience.
Proven understanding of engineering fundamentals for design and manufacturing of aerospace avionics hardware.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a strong ability to articulate technical topics to non-subject matter experts.
Strong creative problem-solving and collaboration skills.
Ability to learn, grow and address new challenges in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to earn trust, maintain positive and professional relationships, and contribute to a culture of inclusion.
Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.
Preferred Qualifications
Relevant experience in an avionics / electronics hardware manufacturing environment.
Experience interpreting Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
Practical knowledge of Root Cause Corrective Action (RCCA) process (DMAIC preferred).
Lean Manufacturing experience.
Aerospace experience.
Experience in Statement of Work (SOW) generation and compliance.
Experience performing supplier assessments and non-conformance / RCCA investigation support.
Compensation Range for:
CO applicants is $82,335.00-$115,269.00;WA applicants is $89,820.00-$125,748.00Other site ranges may differ
