EHS Responsibilities:

Comply with the safety, health and environment policy and procedures established by the EHSMS.

Get directly involved in corrective actions in which they are related to other departments.

Maintain applicable documented information related to the EHSMS up to date. Participate in committees, training, and awareness, to ensure adequate competence for your position if applicable.

Prepare the necessary information to carry out the monitoring, measurement, and analysis of the different environmental objectives as applicable. Understand EHS risks and all legal requirements related to your job responsibilities and the appropriate controls in place to manage those risks and requirements.

Perform your job responsibilities with due professional care and in compliance with legal requirements and internal standards without compromising your own safety or that of others.

Know and support compliance with the applicable significant associated environmental aspects and impacts.

Determine the risks and opportunities related to environmental aspects, legal requirements, context and interested parties as applicable to your activities. Be alert to EHS hazards in the workplace, responding to them as appropriate and reporting them to responsible management as soon as they are identified (for example, spills).

Participate in community, training, and awareness initiatives as appropriate. Help drive constant performance improvement in EHS areas, recommending potential improvements to responsible management.

Participate in determining opportunities for improvement and implementing the necessary actions to achieve the expected results in your environmental management system.

Ems position authorities

Carry out the Preparation, Review and Authorization of the EMS operating procedures and documents in agreement with the Senior Management of the organization as applicable.

Define corrective and corrective actions in the EMS and verify their compliance together with the personnel involved.

Request and manage information regarding the different EMS procedures to ensure compliance and proper implementation.

Request the organization's staff to implement the EMS documents, as well as the applicable environmental legislation and regulations as well as the interested parties.

Carry out the necessary activities for the implementation, maintenance, and continuous improvement of the EMS in the organization, requesting progress and assigning activities as applicable.

Requirements:

Bachelor in Labor safety and hygienic or similar degree.

5 years of experience in the areas of environment and labor safety.

English spoken and written.

Experience on issuing documentation before local, state and federal authorities (STPS, SEMARNAT, PROFEPA, Environment Agency, SSA, etc.).

Experience in Audits (Environmental. Security, Corporate, OEA)

Experience in access controls C-TPAT, OEA or similar.

Management of operational and administrative personnel.

Interpretation Course in the ISO 14001:2015 standard, Training Course for Internal Auditors and/or Leader ISO 14001:2015, Induction in Legal Requirements in Environmental Matters, Training in the documents of the Environmental System, Attention and Response to Disasters, Operational Controls that correspond to them, Determination of Significant Environmental Aspects and Impacts that correspond, EHS Policy and Environmental Objectives.
