The Opportunity
This position works out of our Spain - Madrid location in the Diabetes division (ADC). We’re focused on helping people with diabetes manage their health with life-changing products that provide accurate data to drive better-informed decisions. We’re revolutionizing the way people monitor their glucose levels with our new sensing technology.
As the Training & Development Manager, you’ll be responsible of managing ADC training programs for IBIGSA Commercial Organization. Training includes:
Product & Category knowledge: development, execution, and maintenance of high-quality disease, product and competency development training;
Selling skills: development and execution of training programs using selling tools to deliver sales programs & strategies;
Customized management training programs focused on core functional responsibilities.
What You’ll Do
Develops and implements all sales training programs for ADC sales team including basic and advanced training, and one-on-one training for field-based sales representatives, which is aligned to product and business strategies
Develops and maintains training content, manuals, tools and programs in conjunction with Marketing and other members of the commercial team
Provide line manager, Regional Management and other key personnel (as required) with timely and regular verbal and written feedback on training performance (activity completed and ongoing plan)
Conducts field visits across IBIGSA countries and work hand-on-hand with sales representatives to reinforce training needs and gaps
Support the implementation of new initiatives, work cross functionally in the identification of behavioral training outcomes that will support brand plan execution
Develops and delivers training workshops either in person or through distance education as required
Support line manager with the talent management and succession planning process for ADC sales function including the identification of high potential and high performing individuals to ensure readiness for key sales positions
Required Qualifications
Master's degree
10 years of experience of successful track record in similar roles
GP and Secondary Care sales experience
Preferred Qualifications
Strong presentation and communication skills
Critical thinking and analysis of market conditions and opportunities
Able to support and motivate individuals through challenging training programs, demonstrate good coaching and counselling skills
Possess well developed interpersonal skills and the adaptability to work cross-functionally within Abbott
Able to plan and manage large training projects and have the drive to see projects through to completion. Able to demonstrate an ability to work well under pressure with a high degree of flexibility
