Summary:
As a Custom Software Engineer, you will engage in the development of custom software solutions that are designed to meet specific business needs.
We are looking for an experienced Database Developer with strong expertise in database design, development, optimization, and data modelling. The ideal candidate is proactive, detail oriented, and able to collaborate effectively with cross functional teams.
Your typical day will involve coding, enhancing components, and collaborating with team members to ensure the delivery of scalable and high-performing solutions. You will utilize modern frameworks and agile practices to create effective software applications that align with organizational goals and user requirements.

Roles & Responsibilities
Expected to perform independently and become an SME.
Required active participation/contribution in team discussions.
Contribute in providing solutions to work related problems.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
Conduct code reviews to ensure adherence to best practices and maintain high-quality standards.
Design, develop, and optimize relational database structures and schemas.
Write efficient and scalable SQL / PL SQL queries, stored procedures, triggers, and packages.
Perform performance tuning, query optimization, and troubleshooting.
Work closely with data architects, analysts, and application teams to deliver high quality solutions.
Ensure data quality, integrity, and security across environments.
Support ETL processes, data migrations, and integration activities.
Proactively identify improvement areas and drive automation where possible.

Professional & Technical Skills
Must To Have Skills: Proficiency in Oracle Procedural Language Extensions to SQL (PLSQL).
Strong understanding of database design, optimization techniques, database design principles, normalization, indexing, and performance tuning.
Experience with modern software development methodologies, particularly Agile and experience in ETL pipelines, data modelling, and large-scale data environments.
Familiarity with version control systems such as Git.
Ability to troubleshoot and resolve software defects efficiently.
Solid problem solving mindset with proactive ownership.
Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate with business and technical stakeholders.

Good to Have
Experience with cloud databases (AWS RDS, Azure SQL, GCP Cloud SQL).
Knowledge of CI/CD, DevOps, or automation for database deployments.

Additional Information:
- The candidate should have minimum 5 years of experience in Oracle Procedural Language Extensions to SQL (PLSQL).
- This position is based at our Mumbai office.
- A 15 years full time education is required.
