Linklaters is looking for a motivated newly graduated in Law to join the Milan office in the position of Trainee in the Structured Finance and Regulatory team.

The trainee will work in the Structured Finance and Regulatory Group, which is part of the finance practice of the firm:

  • Structured Finance team deals in innovative and complex financial transactions, focusing on securitisations, NPLs, covered bonds, project bonds, structured real estate , secured corporate debt and bespoke structured finance transactions.

  • Financial Regulation team advises on complex / high profile matters in the key financial centres: compliance with the regulations that apply to our clients, changes in regulatory regimes, changes in our clients’ businesses which are impacted by regulations and crises which may carry serious reputational consequences.

The applicant must have the desire to work within an international environment of excellence, where they will have the opportunity to collaborate in the most interesting deals with the highest calibre of lawyers. As part of a global and large practice, teamwork is vital and you will often work alongside with colleagues in our overseas offices. The ideal candidate should have a passion and desire to learn, be enterprising, flexible, available, accurate and able to work in a team.

Key requirements:

  • A Law degree with excellent academic credentials from an Italian University. Abroad or specific education in finance law will be assessed positively
  • Proficiency level in English (C1)
  • Previous working experience in debt capital markets matters would be considered a plus
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Knowledge of Microsoft 365
  • Attitude to use and develop legal tech tools and innovative mindset
