Job Description

Program Overview 

The Comcast Cooperative Educational Program (Co-op) immerses students into the daily operations of a contemporary media and technology company while working side-by-side with Comcast’s top innovators. Designed for students whose curriculum allows for a cooperative learning track, the co-op becomes an integral part of the Comcast team working on creative, innovative, and thought-provoking projects within various business units. Throughout the experience, there is opportunity for exposure to mentorship and professional development while having some fun along the way. 

 

Role Overview 

The Comcast Global Audit (CGA) Data Team is at the forefront of initiatives to identify, monitor, and mitigate risk through the integration of innovative data insights, automation, and business analysis. Co-Ops on our Data - Design, Transformation, and Assurance Team will be responsible for analyzing business challenges and data, designing and partnering with others to develop proactive and continuous data monitoring processes, ensuring that we deliver high-quality, accurate and impactful data to stakeholders, and identifying opportunities for process improvement within CGA and the businesses we partner with. This role offers a unique opportunity to gain broad data and operations exposure across Comcast Corporation through the audit process. 

 

Co-op responsibilities include but are not limited to: 

 

What You Deliver 

  • Extracts, analyzes, transforms, and visualizes data from disparate sources to support the audit lifecycle while ensuring its accuracy and cohesiveness. 

  • Analyzes data to determine whether businesses are conducting and monitoring operations in accordance with established Comcast policies/procedures, best practices, and governmental and legal requirements. 

  • Applies analytical models (e.g., regression, simulation, statistical, etc.) to audit scope areas to identify outliers, trends and/or projections, where appropriate. 

  • Develops process flows, prototypes, and requirements / design documentation to accelerate understanding between stakeholders and guide the development of solutions. 

  • Prepares clear and well-organized workpapers, documenting root-cause (as applicable), work performed, findings, and recommendations. 

  • Performs data quality testing of data solutions to ensure quality results. 

  • Follows Comcast policies regarding data security in classification, handling, storage, and transmission. 

  • Identifies opportunities for improvement to team activities, tools, training, and documentation. 

  • Supports department objectives and performs other duties and responsibilities, as assigned. 

 

Preferred Qualifications 

  • Prior data co-op or internship experience 

  • Preferred Majors: Data Science, Business Analytics, Computer Science, Information Systems, Management of Information Systems 

  • Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree from Drexel University, with a  cooperative learning track. 

  • Available to work 40 hours per week for 6 months starting September 23, 2024 through March 28, 2025. 

  • Available to report in-person to the work location provided above. 

  • 3.0 minimum cumulative GPA preferred. 

  • Authorized to work in the United States of America

Compensation

Base Pay: $27.00
