In this position, you will act as Company’s technical liaison with governmental agencies and independently coordinate the work of consultants or contractors providing services to the Company. We would love to hear from you today!
What You Will Do:
Provide environmental compliance advice, assistance and support to Operations and others with regard to system operations, maintenance, projects, and emergency response.
Oversee permitting and regulatory compliance, develop or recommend procedures, provide guidance and relevant written resources or support materials.
Create, update and implement various environmental compliance documents, contract specifications, technical resource documents, manuals and similar.
Support and assist Company emergency response efforts through ICS; advise on and direct remedial actions, technologies and regulations. Obtain necessary training and/or certifications.
Develop and coordinate Company environmental awareness initiatives, training programs, and ongoing outreach efforts, materials and resources.
Coordinate and direct preparation, implementation due diligence reviews for acquisitions/divestiture.
Develop and manage post-leak monitoring and remediation approaches, coordinate remedial efforts, develop appropriate monitoring procedures, prepare necessary regulatory reports and closure documentation, coordinate agency oversight.
Independently manage various permitting, compliance and regulatory review and tracking duties for air, water, waste, EPCRA, SPCC and land management issues.
Review and interpret existing or emerging regulations or industry efforts, and develop Company response to them.
Who You Are:
You have the following education and experience:
A post secondary degree or higher in an environmental or related field.
Familiarity with environmental assessment methodologies and permitting.
Familiarity with best management practices for environmental protection.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and to work with minimal supervision.
Excellent organizational skills.
Computer skills using Microsoft Office products.
At least 7 years of environmental experience, preferably in pipeline, industry, infrastructure sectors.
A self-starter with strong written and oral communication skills, focused internally and externally at all levels
The ability to work both independently and within multidisciplinary teams
Strong interpersonal skills, focused internally and externally, at all levels
Demonstrated capability in ensuring strong linkages both inside and outside of the organization
Ability to apply strategic solutions to issues
Demonstrates a willingness to implement new ideas within acceptable boundaries
High level of personal and professional integrity and commitment to Enbridge’s values
Preferred:
Experience with Enbridge business units, familiarity with Enbridge’s business and cultures considered an asset
Working Conditions:
Office environment with a significant amount of regular travel to field locations.
