What you’ll be doing

As a Director, Technology Currency Governance within Technology Operations, you will provide enterprise leadership across the governance, financial management, and prioritization of technology currency investments. We are seeking a strategic, outcomes-driven Director to lead a small, high-performing team focused on currency budget management and financial reporting, data governance activities, support for IT Asset Management (ITAM) deliverables, and metrics reporting on the Technology Currency Modernization (TCM) team within Technology Operations. Our purpose is to mitigate technology risk by partnering across the enterprise to remediate aging infrastructure (hardware and software). This role blends well-defined responsibilities with growth-oriented initiatives where you’ll set direction, create structure, and scale new capabilities.

How you’ll succeed

  • Financial modeling and acumen: Curate financial models that underpin currency spend initiatives, currency-focused business cases and multi-year plans.
  • Storytelling: Communicate complex information with clarity and impact through written (PowerPoint, Word) and oral narratives tailored for executive audiences.
  • People leadership and development: Direct and manage strategy development and road mapping; be a bold, authentic leader who coaches, develops, and elevates a high-performing team.
  • Analytics and reporting: Deliver accurate analytics and reporting, providing insights and recommendations for strategic and tactical improvements.
  • Collaboration and relationships: Build strong cross-functional relationships with internal and external stakeholders to advance currency remediation and promote a culture of information-sharing.
  • Enterprise technology currency governance & audit: Lead governance frameworks that guide how technology currency investments are evaluated, prioritized, and approved across application and infrastructure domains. Ensure continuous readiness for audit, regulatory, and data governance reviews by embedding sustainable controls, documentation, and best practices across the portfolio.

Who you are

  • You can demonstrate 8+ years of experience in. technology, with at least 3 years of people management, including direct budget management and project delivery. Solid understanding of infrastructure technologies (servers, storage, networks, operating systems) and lifecycle management; knowledge of cloud technologies is an asset.
