Role Overview

We are seeking an EMEA Claims Sourcing/Governance Manager to join our team in EMEA. This critical role focuses on the onboarding, due diligence, and ongoing management of third-party administrators (TPAs) in claims delegations across multiple countries within EMEA. The role is pivotal in ensuring that AIG meets its regulatory obligations by providing governance and oversight assurance for outsourced claims managed by TPAs. Additionally, this position will support various project activities, including the design and implementation of our operating model, drafting policies, processes, and procedures, and contributing to organizational design and implementation.

This office-based role requires fluency in English and ideally in another continental European langueg (French, Italian, Spanish, German) reflecting the multilingual environment in our Claims teams across the regions.

Responsibilities

  • Onboarding and Due Diligence: Lead the onboarding process of third-party administrators (TPAs), conducting thorough due diligence to ensure compliance with AIG's standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Ongoing Management of TPAs: Oversee the performance and compliance of multiple TPAs across various countries, to maintain high service standards and regulatory adherence.
  • Governance and Oversight: Provide governance and oversight to ensure that appropriate measures are in place to support outsourced claims managed by third parties and that these  are handled appropriately, minimizing regulatory risk and enhancing operational efficiency.
  • Audit Support: Assist in the preparation and execution of external audits, ensuring all required documentation and compliance standards are met to uphold AIG's integrity and reputation.
  • Project Work and Implementation: Support the implementation of strategic projects, including the design of new operating models, drafting of policies, processes, and procedures, and contributing to organizational design and change management initiatives.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure that all activities, particularly those related to the materiality assessment of relevant third parties, comply with local regulatory obligations, maintaining high standards of governance and risk management together with local legal and regulatory teams.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams, external partners, and regulatory bodies to ensure a seamless and compliant claims delegation process, fostering strong relationships and effective communication.
  • Process Improvement: Continuously assess and improve processes related to claims delegation management, leveraging insights and best practices to drive operational excellence and strategic alignment with AIG's priorities.
  • Multilingual Communication: Engage effectively with stakeholders in Dutch, French, and English, demonstrating strong communication skills in a multilingual and multicultural environment.

Soft Skills and Attributes:

  • Strong Analytical Skills: Ability to analyse complex information, identify risks, and make sound decisions to enhance compliance and efficiency.
  • Excellent communication skills in English and another European language (French, Italian, Spanish, German)
  • in depth experience in managing Claims and engaging with Claims departments in various countries
  • Management of third party vendors
