Primary Responsibilities:

Design and Architecture: Architect and implement advanced load balancing solutions leveraging GSLB technologies to support multi-site, multi-cloud, and hybrid environments. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to assess requirements and translate business needs into scalable, secure, and resilient architectures.

Automation: Develop and maintain robust automation frameworks using tools such as Ansible, Terraform, or custom scripts to streamline provisioning, scaling, configuration, and failover operations for load balancing devices.

Monitoring and Optimization: Implement end-to-end monitoring, health checks, and analytics to proactively identify performance bottlenecks, drive tuning initiatives, and ensure high availability and low latency for distributed services.

Troubleshooting & Incident Response: Lead advanced troubleshooting of load balancing issues, including DNS, SSL/TLS, session persistence, and traffic routing

Education and Experience Required:

Combined minimum of 6 years’ higher education and/or work experience in systems design, management and/or architecture

Automation experience with Terraform and Ansible

Education and Experience Preferred:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering

Minimum 6 years’ professional experience in a technical engineering position involving infrastructure design technologies, data management and interchange, system design and/or development for complex applications

Ability to translate complex business and functional requirements into structured high quality implementations using any variety of industry standard approaches

M&T Bank is committed to fair, competitive, and market-informed pay for our employees. The pay range for this position is $102,939.06 - $171,565.10 Annual (USD). The successful candidate’s particular combination of knowledge, skills, and experience will inform their specific compensation.
