Main Responsibilities: 
This role reports to the Financial Controller of Moog Japan and is responsible for managing accounting operations, ensuring compliance with internal controls, and providing accurate financial reporting and analysis. The position requires strong financial and accounting expertise, knowledge of regulatory requirements, and preferably an understanding of manufacturing processes. 

Supervise and develop accounting staff, including objective setting, performance reviews, and career development, in collaboration with the Finance Controller.

• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements for reporting to Japan, EHPS, and corporate management.
• Prepare annual statutory financial statements and tax returns; maintain relationships with tax authorities, banks, and auditors.
• Lead rolling forecast preparation and manage budgetary control processes.
• Conduct systematic checks on administrative issues (e.g., expenses, capital) and ensure financial performance aligns with forecasts.
• Provide management with financial reports, forecasts, and analysis to support strategic objectives.
• Monitor company assets for proper use and accounting.
• Review and approve monthly closing entries.
• Ensure compliance with internal controls, documented procedures, and Sarbanes-Oxley requirements.
• Utilize financial tools such as SAP, OneStream, and SharePoint for efficient operations.
• Interact with auditors and ensure statutory reporting requirements are met.
• Drive initiatives to streamline and standardize financial processes for improved efficiency.

Qualifications:
Education/degree

• University degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related discipline.
• Familiarity with US GAAP and Japanese tax regulations preferred.

Work experience

• At least 7 years of progressive experience in accounting or finance. Part of the experience should be in supervising & leading staff and management of organization

Other skills, experiences or highly desirable qualifications

• The Official Business Skills Test in Bookkeeping, 2nd grade
• Proven competence in building trust & integrity, adaptability, decision making, information monitoring and a willingness to learn new things.
