Role Overview
The Air Traffic Services Technology & Logistics Specialist ensures the operational readiness of classroom technology and simulators, provides first-line technical and operational support to ATS Training Center staff, supports day-to-day logistics of center operations, and maintains accurate training records and schedules. This role is critical to delivering a seamless training experience, ensuring compliance with applicable standards.
Key Responsibilities
Simulator Readiness & Support
Conduct daily simulator readiness checks prior to class start, including preventive maintenance tasks as required.
Diagnose and resolve routine simulator issues and perform configuration changes to support daily operations.
Record and track maintenance activities using the maintenance management system.
Assist with hardware refurbishment and modifications as needed.
Maintain accurate asset records for simulator components, IT equipment, and software.
Manage logistics for parts, including receipt, repair, and validation testing.
Operational Logistics
Support day-to-day logistics of the training center, including coordination of materials, equipment, and facility readiness.
Monitor and report any incidents or hazards promptly to ensure a safe training environment.
Technology Administration
Power on and verify classroom audio/visual systems before sessions begin.
Support ATO personnel with classroom setup and resolve facility-related issues impacting training delivery.
Provide frontline IT support and escalate issues through ServiceNow when necessary.
Onboard new hires to IT systems and deliver technology-related training to staff.
Ensure timely upload of student training records to SharePoint, and document record upload progress
Maintain documentation for internal training sessions in compliance with regulatory and company standards.
Schedule Coordination
Collect updates from instructional staff on schedule changes or delays and update Excel and Outlook calendars accordingly.
Publish finalized schedules on the SharePoint and provide governance inputs on schedule adjustments.
Note: The ATS Training Center operates from 06:00 to 22:30. This role requires on-site readiness checks between 05:30 and 06:30 daily.
