Job Description:

Maryland Environmental Service has an opening for a Facility Safety Coordinator within our Environmental Dredging and Restoration Group at our Headquarters in Millersville, MD. This position leads safety efforts for MES Environmental Dredging & Restoration (EDR) projects, including dredging, construction, and field operations. Responsibilities include developing safety plans, conducting site inspections, ensuring compliance with safety regulations, and providing staff training.

The position serves as a liaison between MES Headquarters and regional teams, with regular travel across Maryland required. Occasional evening or weekend work may be needed.

Estimated Pay Range:

$55,256.40 - $75,978.12

Minimum Requirements:

Graduation from a standard high school or possession of a GED certificate, plus ten (10) years of relevant experience supporting or managing safety programs in an industrial setting.

Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Safety and Health, Science, Engineering, or a related field, along with a minimum of three (3) years of experience in an industrial setting and a solid working knowledge of OSHA 29 CFR 1910 (General Industry) standards.
Candidates with an Associate’s degree in a relevant field and at least five (5) years of related experience will also be considered.

Must have valid driver’s license with less than 5 points.
