Job Summary
The VP, Field Sales is responsible for overseeing and managing the sale of an integrated communication structure to field small business, mid-market, and base customers for the CA Region (these channels may change as the organization evolves). Maximizes sales revenues and meets corporate objectives on a consistent basis. This is a leadership role responsible for managing and developing a team of Directors/Managers/Supervisors in various areas.

Core Responsibilities
- Ensures and develops a consultative business-to-business sales culture through strong leadership and coaching. Leads by example by modeling the Comcast Way, West Division Touchstones, and California Think Different Culture.
- Evaluates effectiveness of Directors/Managers and implements necessary changes.
- Addresses personnel issues/performance issues in accordance with Company policy.
- Maintains excellent knowledge of Company's products/services, pricing practices and selling skills to effectively oversee regional sales deployment of new products and services that target the enterprise segment.
- Monitors reports and manages monthly, quarterly and annual sales results, other activity and performance measures. Presents results if needed.
- Oversees the development of seminars, sale incentive plans and other strategies to achieve business unit objectives
- Exhibits excellent written and oral communications, interpersonal skills and planning, presentation and organizational skills.
- Develops and maintains effective business relationships, both cross-functionally and with Division and Corporate Business Services teams and internal organizations, to ensure maximum effectiveness of the sales channels under leadership.
- Monitors Business Services Midmarket, Base, and SBS sales channels within budgeted sales and expense targets.
- Ensures the implementation of improvements in business processes yielding, increased sales performance and/or operational efficiency through excellent time management, decision-making and human relations skills.
- Consistent exercise of independent judgment and discretion in matters of significance.
- Adjust sales strategies in response to external market conditions and competitive landscape.
- Adapt to change and effectively communicate change in a constantly evolving and rapidly changing environment while inspiring the team to evolve with the change.

Qualifications
- Minimum 10 years progressive, senior sales and financial leadership experience in the telecommunications industry.
- Successfully led commercial sales, marketing and business development functions at a high growth telecommunications company.
- Served successfully in a transformational leadership capacity. Developed and implemented strategy to move a sales organization forward at a high growth rate.
- Strong business and financial acumen with a deep understanding of the economic drivers of small medium, and Midmarket sized businesses.
- Proven experience and success in managing a large P&L budget.
- Demonstrated ability to develop and implement successful sales channel and go-to-market strategies to capture market opportunities and drive profitable growth.
- Consistent record of accomplishment of sales leadership success and quota achievement in high growth, commercial telecommunications sales. organizations
- Proven skill in implementing effective business development and sales methodologies/processes to increase sales productivity in small and medium business markets.
- Proven experience selling multi-site fiber-based telecom solutions
- Demonstrated ability to attract, recruit and retain top talent and build high performing teams.
- Worked effectively across diverse functions within a large business, (e.g. Sales, Marketing, Product, Service Delivery, Operations, Customer Care, etc.).
- Must be willing to travel domestically.

Compensation
Primary Location Pay Range: $236,953.50 - $355,430.25
Comcast intends to offer the selected candidate base pay dependent on job-related, non-discriminatory factors such as experience. Base pay is one part of the Total Rewards that Comcast provides to compensate and recognize employees for their work. Most sales positions are eligible for a Commission under the terms of an applicable plan, while most non-sales positions are eligible for a Bonus.
