Position Summary
Washington University School of Medicine is actively recruiting dedicated and skilled Acute Care Nurse Practitioners to join our dynamic healthcare teams in critical care.
These critical care roles are eligible for a $15,000 sign-on bonus and $5,000 relocation reimbursement, which will be discussed with interviewed candidates. In addition, hires are eligible for additional compensation bonuses tied to productivity and retention. These positions offer billable hours, shift and holiday differential, and monthly bonuses.
Position Details:
· Full-time (average 40 hours per week).
· Schedule consists of an average of (3) 12-13 hour shifts per week to include up to 50% nights, weekends, holidays, and paid call.
· Flexible scheduling options may be available, including weekend and/or night shift-only options with additional incentives.
· Eligibility for a recurring retention bonus given after 12 months of employment and every 2 years thereafter.
· Monthly bonus (including productivity and shift differential).
· Annual bonus.
· Referral bonus.
The advanced practice provider (ACNP) will be employed by the Department of Anesthesiology within Washington University School of Medicine, a top ranked medical school in the country. The ACNP will work at Barnes-Jewish Hospital, a nationally recognized Magnet center and ranked among the nation’s best hospitals by U.S. News & World Report, and/or affiliated BJC community hospitals, and telemedicine.
Opportunities include cardiothoracic ICU, surgical/burn/trauma ICU, combined medical/surgical ICUs, and telemedicine. ICU work locations will be determined based on the applicant's experience and professional interests.
Will practice as an independent provider in collaboration with a fellowship trained intensivist within diverse, skilled, inter-professional critical care teams. The environment is challenging and rewarding and allows the ACNP the opportunity to practice to the fullest extent of their scope of practice.
Job Description
Primary Duties & Responsibilities:
Responsibilities include obtaining medical histories, performing physical examinations, participating in inter-professional rounds, ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests, designing and implementing plans of care, and performing invasive procedures. Typical provider:patient ratio 1:6. In our critical care environments, talents and skills are developed through intellectually stimulating work experiences, ample educational offerings, procedural simulation, and other learning venues.

Salary Range
$86,300.00 - $155,500.00 / Annually
The salary range reflects base salaries paid for positions in a given job grade across the University. Individual rates within the range will be determined by factors including one's qualifications and performance, equity with others in the department, market rates for positions within the same grade and department budget.
