Systems Analyst Senior

Location: This position will work a hybrid model (remote & office). The ideal candidate will live within 50 miles of one of our Elevance Health PulsePoint office locations.

Preferred location: Indianapolis, IN

The Systems Analyst Senior is responsible for defining and managing the scope of business systems projects. 

How You Will Make An Impact: 

  • Carry out the process of eliciting functional and non-functional requirements of the system and serve as the vital communication bridge between the business and IT department.
  • Liaise actively with business stakeholders and product owners to gather, analyze, and define solutions that provide exceptional value to our customers.
  • Help in translating business requirements into execution details, ensuring the design meets the standards of performance, user-friendliness, reliability, scalability as well as the functional needs.
  • Partner with the quality team in crafting and carrying out feature test cases, ensuring that testing effectively validates the system's follow-through to functional and non-functional requirements.
  • Work hand in hand with the development and QA teams to ensure that solutions being delivered align with the needs of the business and our clients.
  • Create user stories, acceptance criteria, and screen mockups to efficiently communicate requirements to the rest of the development team.
  • Engage in sprint ceremonies that includes backlog grooming, sprint planning, daily standups, and retrospectives. Take a proactive role in constantly improving our software delivery processes.
  • Manages integrated functionality, usability, reliability, performance and support requirements of a system. 
  • Creates feature test strategies and environment needs. 
  • Provides the link between the technical and business views of the system by ensuring that the technical solutions being developed will satisfy the needs of the business.
  • Anticipates and identifies opportunities for improvement. 
  • Ensures high level designs including architecture requirements are accurately documented and map to approved requirements. 
  • Assists in developing training documentation and proactive identification of additional documentation needs. 

Minimum Requirements: 

  • Requires an BA/BS degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or related field of study and a minimum of 3 years’ experience with documenting requirements and/or building test cases for a variety of technologies; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background. 
  • This position is part of our NGS (National Government Services) division which, per CMS TDL 190275, requires foreign national applicants meet the residency requirement of living in the United States at least three of the past five years.

Preferred Skills, Experiences and Capabilities:

  • Experience with JIRA and Confluence.
  • Familiarity with projects using the Scaled Agile Framework.  
  • SAFe certification preferred.
  • Experience working with Cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) preferred.  
  • Experience testing/product quality processes tools and methods strongly preferred. 
  • Project management experience and training in facilitation strongly preferred.
  • Working knowledge of: IT application development and support; Software development life cycle (SDLC) methodologies; Programming logic and workflow concepts and test planning, execution/coordination.
