About the Role & Team 

 

As a Senior Program Manager within the Disney+ Business Program Management team, you'll lead the execution of strategic initiatives across multiple divisions. Your goal is to design efficient, scalable, and extensible launch plans while ensuring sustainable ongoing operations. By balancing "just enough" process rigor with transparency into program progress and risks, you foster a collaborative environment that empowers teams and drives results. Your exceptional project management, analytical skills, strong business acumen, and ability to manage multiple priorities and stakeholders will be crucial in achieving our business objectives.    

 

This role will be based in our London Hammersmith office, 4 days a week, with either a Monday or Friday working from home.

What You Will Do 

 

You will work closely with the Disney Entertainment group, including teams across Technology, Content, Marketing, and various international business divisions. You'll coordinate the delivery of work across multiple functional streams, divisions, and launch initiatives—spanning geographic markets, strategic partnerships, campaigns, and major product features. Additionally, you'll define key tracking mechanisms to monitor project health and report insights to senior stakeholders, ensuring transparency and informed decision-making 

 

  • Launch Initiatives: Lead programs through the launch process, including initiation, planning, execution, monitoring, and closure.   

  • Project Planning: Develop detailed project plans, including scope, schedules, budget estimates, resource plans, and success criteria.   

  • Communication: Support project communication, monitoring, and control mechanisms to ensure timely reporting of status and issues to business leads and senior management.   

  • Risk Management: Identify and address operational risks, issues, dependencies, and decisions, driving resolution or escalations when necessary.   

  • Stakeholder Management: Establish effective communication channels to manage stakeholder expectations, align priorities, and build strong working relationships across teams. Strong leadership and influence abilities, with the capacity to inspire and motivate cross-functional teams.   

  • Alignment: Create and present to senior executives and drive decision-making and alignment across the organization   

  • Independence: Perform many responsibilities independently and with oversight from LPMO leaders. 

 

 

Required Qualifications & Skills  

  • Experience: in program and project management within a large corporate, direct-to-consumer, streaming, or product-centric business.   

  • Global Expertise: International experience is essential.  

  • Project Management: Understanding of project management processes and methodologies for governance and tracking. Deep understanding of project management tools like AirtableSmartsheets, and Jira.   

  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in software development process and experience working with product, engineering, and UX projects.   

  • Software: Proficient in tools such as Keynote, PowerPoint, Google Slides, Miro, Lucidchart, Confluence, Jira, Airtable, and Smartsheets 

  • Stakeholder Management: Demonstrated ability to manage multiple stakeholders in a complex, matrixed environment. Ability to influence a wide range of audiences. Experience managing senior executives from VP to Chairman level stakeholders.   

  • Business Acumen: Strong business acumen with the ability to react quickly and proactively plan to meet project needs. Data literacy and the ability to apply qualitative and quantitative data in decision-making.  

  • AdaptabilityDemonstrated tenacity and comfort with ambiguity.
