Position Summary
You will lead the operational delivery of global clinical studies from Canada. You will partner with global study teams, local colleagues and external partners to deliver studies on time, on budget and to high quality. We value clear communicators who make practical decisions, build trust and support colleagues. In this role you will grow your clinical leadership and project management skills while helping GSK unite science, technology and talent to get ahead of disease together.
This role will provide YOU the opportunity to lead key activities to progress YOUR career. These responsibilities include some of the following:
- Act as the operational lead for assigned global clinical studies and manage end-to-end delivery.
- Plan and lead study start-up activities in Canada, including regulatory and ethics submissions.
- Track timelines, budgets and resources; identify risks and deliver mitigation plans.
- Oversee vendor and contract research organisation (CRO) performance and relationships.
- Maintain trial documentation and ensure readiness for audits and inspections.
- Report study status and decisions to global and local stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the main operational contact between global study teams and Canadian partners.
- Lead feasibility, site selection and local start-up to support recruitment goals.
- Monitor recruitment, study metrics and operational risks and recommend corrective actions.
- Manage study-level financials and contribute to contract and budget negotiations.
- Ensure compliance with Good Clinical Practice and applicable local regulations.
- Coach and support local study staff and share practical improvements across teams.

Work model: This role is hybrid. Regular on-site presence in Canada is expected. Travel within Canada and internationally will be required.
Basic Qualification
We are seeking professionals with the following required skills and qualifications to help us achieve our goals:
- Bachelor’s degree in life sciences, nursing, pharmacy, clinical research or related field.
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in clinical research or clinical study operations.
- Experience across study stages: start-up, recruitment and close-out.
- Demonstrated project management skills with timeline and budget oversight.
- Strong stakeholder management and cross-functional collaboration skills.
- Fluent in English with strong written and verbal communication skills.
Preferred Qualification
If you have the following characteristics, it would be a plus:
- Advanced degree in life sciences, clinical research or a related discipline.
- Experience leading global multi-country studies and working with central study teams.
- Prior experience managing CROs, vendors or vendor oversight plans.
- Knowledge of Health Canada regulations and local ethics submission processes.
- Familiarity with electronic trial master file systems and clinical operations tools.
- Experience supporting audits, inspections or corrective actions.
