About the team:  

The FIS Platform team’s vision is to enable developers to access a full suite of financial capabilities and build their own applications through low and no-code experiences. We operate like an incubated startup within FIS, with the full support of the company and a mandate to create a world-class embedded finance platform. Our team is seeking a Product Designer II to drive the evolution of banking experiences for millions of consumers. This senior-level role within our newly established multidisciplinary design group involves crafting embedded banking experiences from scratch, redesigning existing SaaS banking products, and expanding our FIS design system. As a visionary with a keen focus on user needs, you will shape our design culture and collaborate closely with product, engineering, and other cross-functional leaders to ensure the successful launch of high-quality products for our clients and their customers. Additionally, nurturing the growth and development of your team members will be integral to your role, as you collaborate closely with each individual to unlock their full potential.

 

What you will be doing:  

  • Foster stakeholder engagement across diverse functions to champion and endorse design strategies

  • Spearhead the development of innovative solutions targeting user, product, and business challenges

  • Drive the establishment of robust design processes, systems, and cultural norms.

  • Elevate design quality through insights gleaned from user research and stakeholder input

  • Guide stakeholders in effectively engaging with product design to attain project goals

  • Align project priorities with overarching organizational objectives

  • Manage resource allocation within design projects

  • Collaborate closely with leadership cross functional counterparts

  • Co-develop and execute product roadmaps that align with stakeholder requirements

  • Advocate for user needs while fostering operational excellence within teams

  • Lead and coach the design team in navigating complexities

  • Inspire and motivate teams with forward-thinking guidance

  • Deliver actionable strategies to drive impactful outcomes

What you will need:  

  • Over 2+ years of experience leading and expanding high-performance design teams, overseeing both individual contributors and managers

  • Dedication to design excellence with a track record of delivering impactful global products

  • Capable of concurrently managing multiple projects while effectively influencing diverse audiences and fostering strong cross-functional partnerships to align design efforts with broader business goals

  • Comfortable navigating ambiguous situations, employing rigorous design thinking and operational frameworks to address complex challenges

  • Exceptional communication abilities, adept at conveying ideas effectively in various settings, from small group discussions to executive presentations

  • Proficient in inspiring and guiding design teams by providing them with crucial business insights, feedback, and direction

  • Bring a balanced approach and sound decision-making to strategic conversations, advocating for both user needs and business objectives within your teams and across peers


FIS is committed to providing its employees with an exciting career opportunity and competitive compensation. The pay range for this full-time position is $115,590.00 - $194,180.00 and reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for this position based on the posted role, level, and location. Within the range, actual individual starting pay is determined additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Any changes in work location will also impact actual individual starting pay. Please consult with your recruiter about the specific salary range for your preferred location during the hiring process.
