The Digital Solutions team powers digital experiences and engagement to enhance the lives of millions of people every day through connected care. We build, deliver and manage a portfolio of data management platforms and mobile offerings in support of our core businesses. We thrive on simple and elegant architecture and agility. You will be part of a cloud engineering team that is responsible for delivering the best-in-class patient product experience, all built using the latest tech stacks of serverless on AWS. You will work closely with talented engineers, product managers, customers, architects, and various stakeholders to deliver our best-in-class mobile applications. 

This is preferred to be a hybrid role located at our Halifax, Canada office.

What You’ll Do: 

  • Responsible for developing our best-in-class AWS serverless applications 
  • Participate in technical design discussions that produces high-performance, highly scalable and resilient software components 
  • Collaborate with other engineers and product owners to identify best in class software solutions to complex problems in our industry 
  • Take a quality-first approach to software development by producing unit tests and automate functional testing as much as possible 
  • Conduct code reviews with other developers, including security checks 

Basic Qualifications (Required Skill/Experience):

  • Ability to work full-time for 12 weeks during Summer 2025; program dates are May 18th – August 7th, 2026, OR June 15th – September 4th, 2026; potential to start early on May 4th, 2026
  • Working toward a University Degree or College Diploma in Computer Science or Computer Programming or equivalent experience
  • Experience coding with Python or other programming languages
  • Experience working with a database

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Experience with AWS services is an asset
  • Experience working with a NoSQL database like DynamoDB or MongoDB is an asset
  • Experience with Git

Individual pay decisions will be made by our staffing provider partner and are based on a variety of factors, such as the candidate’s geographic work location, relevant qualifications, work experience, and skills.

Pay Range for this position: $23.75 - $39/hour CAD, depending on experience & job classification
