The Centre for Research and Development in Learning at Nanyang Technological University, Singapore (CRADLE@NTU) seeks applicants with a Bachelors degree in Psychology, Sociology, Education research or related field for a Research Assistant Position.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of research project on vertical leadership development for school leadership professional development

  • Liaise and work closely with stakeholders from schools and project collaborators.

  • Conduct literature reviews and prepare research progress reports.

  • Day to day coordination of interviewing schedules for data collection.

  • Conducting interviews and transcription of audio recorded interviews.

  • Conducting field observations and document analysis

  • Perform data analysis and reporting of findings.

  • Perform research-related administrative work, such as purchase of material/equipment for research.

  • Carry any other duties as required by Principal Investigator.

  • Manage day to day operations and meticulous record keeping of the research project.

  • Systems administration, including maintenance of data security.

  • Organize research workshop for research findings dissemination.  

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelors (Honours) degree in Psychology, Sociology, Education research or related field from a university of good standing.

  • Experience with qualitative research methods is preferred.

  • Possess excellent oral and written communication skills with a good command of the English language to perform literature reviews, prepare research progress reports and create visual infographics for presentations.

  • Good project coordination and administration skills, including data management and storage.

  • Willing to travel to school sites for data collection.

  • Excellent organizational skills and able to work within given deadlines.

  • Self-directed learner who effectively picks up relevant skills as needed.

  • Task-orientation, excellent organizational skills, attention to details and accuracy, flexibility in responding to fluid situations, good interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work independently.

  • Experience with Singapore school system, teaching experience and qualitative research experience is preferred.

  • Possess strong organizational skills and high degree of meticulousness
