Job Description

We’re seeking a Frontend Software Engineer to lead UI platform engineering across a large, multi-team organization. In this high-impact technical role, you’ll be part of a team that shapes front-end architecture, defines scalable patterns, and establishes the standards, tooling, and practices that power our next-generation enterprise platform. You’ll influence technical direction, enable cross-team delivery, and ensure a cohesive, resilient, and sustainable UI ecosystem. Working at the intersection of architecture, platform enablement, and hands-on engineering, you’ll partner with engineering leadership, UX, platform, and product teams to solve shared UI challenges and guide the evolution of our front-end platform.

This role supports our ongoing platform modernization efforts, including:

  • Modernizing core applications and UI capabilities

  • Integrating shared components and cross‑application features

  • Improving developer experience and consistency across many teams

  • Standardizing UI composition, performance, and reliability patterns

Key Responsibilities

Platform Enablement & Leadership

  • Define and evolve UI architecture, including patterns for shared libraries, composition, and cross‑application integration.

  • Establish and document UI standards, best practices, and library boundaries within our monorepo ecosystem.

  • Mentor teams in modern front‑end patterns such as module federation, composable UIs, and scalable component architectures.

  • Identify organization‑wide UI needs and deliver repeatable, scalable solutions.

Hands‑On Engineering & Delivery

  • Build and maintain reusable components, libraries, and platform tooling.

  • Contribute directly to high‑impact UI initiatives across multiple product areas.

  • Troubleshoot advanced front‑end issues across performance, bundling, federation, and runtime behavior.

  • Support integrations with legacy systems while guiding teams toward modern patterns.

Cross‑Team Collaboration

  • Partner with UX teams to ensure alignment with design system standards.

  • Support product teams in adopting platform patterns and resolving complex UI challenges.

  • Work with DevOps and platform partners to support reliable builds, deployments, and multi‑region readiness.

  • Serve as a technical escalation point for cross‑application UI concerns.

Strategic Impact

  • Drive the transition from legacy UI architectures to modern, scalable platform strategies.

  • Improve delivery velocity and developer experience through standardization.

  • Reduce duplicated efforts by championing reusable, organization‑wide solutions.

Minimum Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related discipline and 2 years’ experience in a related field. The right candidate could also have a different combination, such as a master’s degree and up to 2 years’ experience; or 14 years’ experience in a related field.

  • 2+ years’ experience building production‑grade web applications.

  • 2+ years’ experience engineering in React, TypeScript, and component‑based architecture.

  • Experience with monorepos, module federation, or platform‑scale UI systems.

  • Experience working with bundlers and build pipelines (Rspack, Webpack, Vite).

  • Experience debugging and diagnosing complex UI behavior at scale.

  • Experience building shared libraries, platform tooling, or design‑system components.

Applicants must currently be authorized to work in the United States for any employer without current or future sponsorship. No OPT, CPT, STEM/OPT or visa sponsorship now or in future

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with NX monorepos (workspace libraries, generators, boundaries).

  • Familiarity with multi‑region or multi‑tenant architecture.

  • Experience modernizing legacy applications.

  • Knowledge of UI composition approaches (portals, iframes, federated UIs, etc.).

  • Experience driving technical alignment across multiple teams.

Who Thrives in This Role

  • Engineers who enjoy solving large‑scale, cross‑team challenges.

  • Developers who value clarity, consistency, and strong architectural patterns.

  • Leaders who influence through expertise and collaboration rather than authority.

  • Builders motivated by empowering dozens of teams to deliver better software.

Location & Reporting

  • Reports within a cross‑team organizational structure focused on platform enablement.

  • Hybrid in-office schedule 2-3 per week.
