Priority consideration will be provided to internal applicants first. Applicants with previous agricultural or production experience will be considered preferred. Applicants must reside in the United States to be considered for an interview.
Requirements: Must have at least 12 months of consecutive work history with one employer and no additional job gaps in employment greater than 6 months in the past 36 months. If applicant has been laid off or providing child or elder care, the employment gap will be increased to 18 months. Previous work history will not apply to applicants who have been full time students consecutively for the last 36 months.
Rehire criteria is a minimum waiting period of 180 days.

Schedule: Tuesday through Saturday, including holidays.
Hours: 6:00am-2:00pm
Work schedule is subject to change based upon production needs.
Position Summary
This position is responsible for maintaining and repairing on-farm infrastructure. Other duties may be assigned.
Minimum Requirements:
Must have valid driver’s license.
Fork lift certified or able to obtain certification.
Maintain minimum point level of 6.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Responsible for preventive maintenance program for all farm vehicles and poultry houses (50%)
These connect electrical wiring and cables; installs lighting fixtures, outlets, switches, wall boxes, and terminal boards (20%)
These adjust functional parts of devices and control instruments; repairs or replaces defective parts; reports machinery defects or malfunctions to supervisor (20%)
Other Duties, Responsibilities, and Activities:
These may change or be assigned at any time with or without notice, such as: Maintain and assist with housekeeping standards in the working areas; inspect birds to determine quality and progress by weighing birds weekly; sanitation of storage areas, breakroom, boot rooms, equipment, and vehicles, cleaning incinerators; moving birds, grounds-keeping and organizing breeder tags; properly euthanize selected or weak/ill birds in accordance with company policy; Follow lock out tag out guidelines and procedures when performing activities that require lock out tag out; performs generator test runs each week; participate in trainings necessary to increase job performance (10%)
Biosecurity/Animal Welfare/Safety Requirements:
The jobsite is a biosecure environment which requires showering, changing clothing and footwear before entering the facility. Appropriate clothing and footwear is provided by the Company. No jewelry may be worn on the jobsite except for medical ID jewelry and body piercings covered by appropriate clothing. Must be willing to sign an agreement to avoid any avian species (chickens, ducks, birds, etc.). Must be willing to sign and abide by the Company Biosecurity and Company Animal Welfare Guidelines.
Physical Demands and Work Environment:
The successful candidate(s) must be willing and able to perform the physical requirements of the job with or without reasonable accommodation.
Physical: Must use safe lifting techniques. Must regularly lift and/or move, up to 50 pounds to move items such as vehicle parts, fan motors, tools, etc.; tools, such pallet jacks, may be required to occasionally lift and/or move up to 2000 pounds such as skids of supplies, various on-farm equipment, etc. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand majority of shift (concrete floor); walk; sit; use hands to handle or feel objects and controls; reach with hands and arms; balance; climbing/ladder usage; talk or hear; drive a vehicle within the farm complex; proficiently operate trailer/tractor/skidsteer/hyster. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision; distance vision; color vision; peripheral vision; depth perception; and the ability to adjust focus.
Tools and Equipment: Use of specialized tools may be required in this position.
Environment: Required to work on wet, slippery surfaces and also work in hot, dry, dusty, wet, icy, snowy and cold environments.
Personal Protective Equipment Required: Safety glasses, safety goggles, face shield, chemical gloves, waterproof apron, and rubber boots are required; fall protection harness when on top of feed truck. Ear plugs or muffs will be used as required. NIOSH approved N95 particulate respirators will be worn as needed.
Chemicals Commonly Used: Disinfectants such as Synergize, My-T-Kleen Barnwash, Lysol, Formaldehyde, parts cleaners, etc.
Safety: TM is expected to follow all applicable safety policies and procedures. These include but are not limited to Hazard Communication, Respiratory Protection, LOTO and Personal Protective Equipment. TM is expected to identify, address and mitigate safety related risks.
General Sign‐Off:
The employee is expected to adhere to all Company policies. Failure to perform this job to the above standards could lead to progressive discipline up to and including termination.
