JOB SUMMARY

The Production Planning and Logistics Facilitator at Ethicon San Angelo plays a vital role in the supply chain, acting as the first level of supervision for the production planning and logistics department. This role is responsible for maintaining a safe, organized, and efficient shipping process while overseeing warehouse and inventory management activities.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provide first-level supervision in a manufacturing and warehouse environment, ensuring production commitments are met in accordance with policies and procedures.
  • Initiate training, assign duties, plan daily work, and actively assist or direct subordinates as required.
  • Monitor work operations and employee performance, providing feedback and coaching.
  • Supervise warehouse processes including receiving, shipping, and inventory record-keeping.
  • Act as the Business Unit Manager’s customer service champion, optimizing service levels and inventory metrics such as cycle count and expiry management.
  • Develop labor, productivity, and utilization models to support business capabilities and production rates.
  • Coordinate with supply chain partners to ensure timely availability of materials.
  • Lead cycle count initiatives to improve inventory accuracy and support financial metrics.
  • Oversee incoming raw material schedules, working with buyers and carriers to ensure flawless receipt.
  • Collaborate with Inventory and Shipping Specialists to meet business needs.
  • Ensure compliance with quality standards, safety policies, and regulatory requirements.
  • Manage employee timecards and performance issues in accordance with collective bargaining agreements.
  • Coordinate overtime and staffing needs to meet operational demands.
  • Identify root causes of issues and implement corrective actions to meet customer and business needs.
  • Act as BOP Walkthrough Lead/Designee for the department.
  • Ensure adherence to all regulatory, corporate, and local policies, including ISO 13485, ISO 14001, and OSHAS 18001 standards.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business Administration, or related technical field.

Experience and Skills:

  • 2 years of experience in manufacturing, logistics, or supply chain roles.
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to work independently and focus for extended periods.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and warehouse management systems (e.g., Kronos).

Other:

  • Expected to work 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
