About the role
Deliver high-quality patient care by performing all nuclear medicine procedures and therapy treatments in accordance with EPA Radiation License requirements, including dose preparation, administration, and post-treatment monitoring.
Support efficient departmental operations by complying with SVHS, SVHA, and NSW Health policies, maintaining accurate and confidential patient records, and contributing to hospital-wide systems that optimise patient flow and resource allocation.
Build strong collaborative relationships within the hospital, across St Vincent’s Health Australia, and externally with local health networks, universities, professional bodies, and key stakeholders.
Participate in evidence-based practice and research by taking an active role in multidisciplinary initiatives that drive improvements in clinical practice, service delivery, and professional development.
Commit to ongoing professional growth by maintaining annual development goals, completing all mandatory training, engaging in succession planning activities, and ensuring effective goods and services provision.
About you
Hold a recognised qualification in nuclear medicine or an equivalent degree accepted by the Medical Radiation Practice Board.
Current registration and licensing, including general AHPRA registration (post–supervised practice program or equivalent) and a current NSW EPA radiation licence under the Radiation Control Act 1990.
Demonstrate ability to work effectively in clinical settings, with capacity to operate both autonomously and within a multidisciplinary team environment.
Established knowledge of quality and safety frameworks, including quality improvement, industrial standards, risk management, and work health and safety principles.
Committed to ongoing professional development, including active participation in continuing education, undergraduate student supervision, and departmental in-service education activities.
