Position Summary
 

The Associate Buyer will provide corporate wide support for ensuring our procurement processes and contracts are supporting the customer’s needs through the lowest possible price and exceptional customer service. This position will research, negotiate, and execute purchases with business vendors related to the purchase of medical supplies and equipment, services and capital equipment. Develops and maintains par levels for medical supply ordering at all health centers.


Job Description

  • Travels to Martin’s Point locations utilizing company vehicle to Restock Inventory based upon established par levels
  • Works closely with customers to clarify order requirements and create purchase orders within approved purchasing systems
  • Monitor open orders & repair requests to ensure on time delivery - Notify customers of unanticipated delays or back orders
  • Update ERP & Other IT Systems with Vendor data
  • Perform Market Surveys to identify new sources of supply
  • Support the development of protocols and procedures to improve processes for the team and customers
  • Achieve annual cost savings targets as established jointly with leadership
  • Reconciles departmental financial statements for deliveries and purchases

Education/Experience:

  • Associates Degree or equivalent combination of relevant education, training and experience
  • Relevant combination of purchasing experience, health care experience preferred

Licenses:

  • Valid Driver’s License

  • Strong judgment and decision making skills
