The pay range for this position is $24-$26 plus quarterly bonus potential!

Candidates starting pay will be determined based on job-related skills, experience, and qualifications.

What you’ll do:

Your exceptional organizational skills and keen attention to detail will be utilized to address residents' needs, manage service requests, and oversee apartment turnovers while setting an example by upholding Wasatch Property Management's high standards and effectively managing the budget. With your strong technical proficiency, you will identify and diagnose problems and handle various service requests.

Your role will involve the following:

  • Oversee the team of Maintenance Team Members

  • Schedule and complete turns.

  • Responsible for completing occupied apartment service requests in less than 3 hours.

  • Manages the inventory of “ready” apartments to support the community’s marketing and leasing efforts and inspects ready apartments for move-in quality.

  • Spearheading maintenance initiatives.

  • Consistently exemplifying the Wasatch brand.

  • Embodying an owner's mindset.

Requirements:

At Wasatch, being a team lead means leading by example and understanding the daily experiences of those you manage. As a Maintenance Team Lead-in-Training, you will actively work alongside your team, spending your days on-site implementing scheduled maintenance, promptly responding to service requests, managing vendors, and building solid relationships with residents through effective communication. You will become an expert on your community, working in collaboration with and providing direction to your team of maintenance professionals to ensure that the community is impeccably maintained for our residents.

  • Minimum of 3 years of hands-on general maintenance experience.

  • EPA Certified with 3-5 years related experience a plus.

  • Skill in planning, delegating, and coordinating the work of others.

  • Analytical problem solver, developing alternatives and implementing effective strategies.

  • Ability to operate various hand and power tools.

  • Experience in repairing and or maintaining at least most of the following:

    • Electrical Systems

    • Plumbing

    • Appliances

    • Flooring

    • Carpentry

    • Heating and air systems

    • Pools

  • Ability to lead staff and build a team atmosphere.

  • Strong organizational and time management skills.

  • Detail-oriented, flexible, and able to multitask.

  • A creative and motivating personality.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

  • Superior customer service skills.

  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.

  • Availability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and rotating on-call responsibility for after-hours emergencies

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.
