About the Role

At HARMAN, we recognise that effective collaboration and adaptability are critical elements in delivering value to our customers.

As a member of our Build and Automation (B&A) team, you will design, implement, and optimise DevOps and CI/CD solutions. You will act as a key technical contributor and mentor, ensuring reliability, scalability, and efficiency of our build pipelines.

You will take ownership of complex systems and drive improvements across teams.

Your Team

This position reports to the Manager, Build and Automation Romania. You will be an integral member of our experienced development team, working closely with software engineers, test engineers and our project leaders.

What You’ll Gain

What You Will Do

  • Design and implement scalable CI/CD pipelines with automated testing

  • Set up and manage build infrastructure (on-demand servers, AWS)

  • Own and optimise Jenkins/GitHub Actions pipelines and automations

  • Maintain and improve build environments and deployment workflows

  • Manage version control systems (Git-Gerrit/GitHub) at scale

  • Define and manage containerised environments (Docker/Kubernetes)

  • Monitor CI/CD performance and drive continuous improvement

  • Develop advanced automation scripts and frameworks

  • Troubleshoot complex build issues

  • Mentor junior engineers and guide best practices

  • Use AI-assisted tools to accelerate development and analysis with strong validation practices

What You Need to Be Successful

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field

  • ~5+ years of experience in DevOps / CI/CD 

  • Strong experience with CI/CD automation and infrastructure

  • Proficiency in scripting (Python, Bash, Groovy)

  • Strong understanding of build systems and version control

  • Experience with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes)

  • Strong problem-solving and system-level thinking

Bonus Points if You Have

  • Experience with Yocto / embedded Linux builds

  • Cloud infrastructure experience (AWS or similar)

  • Experience improving CI/CD at organizational level
