The Lake Charles Event Center / ASM GLOBAL has an opening for a Food & Beverage Assistant. This part-time position is in our Food and Beverage department. The position, located in Lake Charles, LA is responsible for assisting F&B with all catering, banquet, and concessions activities in in our multi-venue facility.

Duties Include:

·         Ensure a successful client event by routine and thorough checking of food standards, room set up and on-time service with the result of client satisfaction.

·         Assist the F&B management team with monitoring and managing all staff to assure that all are following ASM GLOBAL & Lake Charles Event Center HR policies & procedures.

·         Assist the F&B management team with resolving any client concerns that arise before and during the event.

·         Assist the F&B management team with creating and managing staffing assignments for banquets and catered events.

·         Assist the F&B management team with training all staff to Lake Charles Event Center standards for catering and concessions services and for HR policies & procedures.

·         Assist the F&B management team with maintaining proper inventory of all bars during c events.

·         Assist the F&B management team with preparing and distributing banquet event orders to all departments as required.

·         Assist the F&B management team with processing all banquet event orders, monitoring changes, client requests and special needs.

·         Assist the F&B management team with the monitoring of all catering events from start to finish.

·         Assist the F&B management team with event reports.

·         Assist the F&B management team with check-ins for events.

·         Other duties as assigned.


Qualifications: 

·         Two - four years of hospitality management experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

·         Must be able to pass Background and References checks.

·         Excellent customer service, communication, planning, organizational and inter-personal skills, and ability to multi-task.

·         Oral and written communication skills with advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office & Excel.

·         Requires ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays, in addition to normal business hours.
