About Team:
The Walmart International Order Management Tech Team is dedicated to running a world class solution that processes massive volumes of orders for the Walmart International supply chain organization
What you will do:
The Principal Software Engineer is a key role within the Order Management System team of Walmart International Supply Chain Tech.
In this role, you will play a leadership role as the owner of the operations of the application and authority on architectural decisions while helping us evolve our ways of working through the use of AI.
You will also partner with Walmart US teams to ensure continuity of vision and more closely align our products and ways of working.
Finally, you will mentor and develop junior engineers to ensure a robust talent pipeline within the organization that aligns with Walmart’s values and culture.
What you will bring:
Deep subject matter expertise in order management systems and related business requirements
Technical expertise in:
Java programming
Kafka architecture
SQL and NoSQL databases
Asynchronous applications
Artificial Intelligence (MCP, Agents, and RAG)
Operational Excellence (including, but not limited to, highly available systems, cost optimization, security, monitoring and alerting, and change management
Passion for mentoring junior engineer and being a force multiple.
Intense sense of personal ownership and servant leadership.
