Northrop Grumman Microelectronics Center (NGMC) is seeking a SMT Team / Accommodation Tech Team Lead Manager 3.

What You’ll Get to Do: 

Member of a dedicated Supplier Management Team. Provides leadership for the SMT; sets objectives for other members of this SMT, including GSC, Business Management, Quality/MA to oversee the Cost, Schedule, Technical, and Quality performance of the supplier (subcontractor or GFX supplier). Manages risk and opportunity related to supplied parts and their integration into the segment or system. Develops statements of work and specifications, evaluates supplier capabilities with respect to segment and system requirements, performs regular technical reviews and participates in negotiations when required.

This is a dual-role manager/IPT Software Design Lead. Management duties include supporting, developing, and tasking engineering staff; developing engineering process; and providing resources to meet program needs. The manager will also perform technical work on programs. The split between technical and functional management duties will be approximately 80% technical /20% functional, on average.

This position will serve on-site in the greater Baltimore, MD area OR Redondo Beach, CA. 

This position is contingent upon acquiring and maintaining the necessary US Government security clearance per customers’ requirements.

Basic Qualifications for SMT Team / Accommodation Tech Team Lead Manager 3: 

• Bachelor's degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) discipline from an accredited university and 12 years of experience with Bachelor's degree, 10 years of experience with Master's degree, 8 years of experience with PhD

• Proven ability to lead and motivate engineering teams, providing guidance and support to achieve project goals

• Demonstrated experience with Systems Development Lifecycle

• Demonstrated experience defining systems behavior
• Experience leading Multi-Disciplinary Engineering (Software, Hardware, Electrical) and working in Cross-Functional Teams
• Knowledge of Systems Engineering including participation in the development of an Integrated Master Plan (IMP) and Integrated Master Schedule (IMS).
• Understanding of DoD systems engineering requirements

• Familiarity with EVMS with experience managing budget and schedule as a Cost Account Manager (CAM)
• Risk and Opportunity Management experience

• This position requires the applicant to be a U.S. citizen

• Current Active DoD Secret Clearance with the ability to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI w. Polygraph prior to start

Preferred Qualifications for SMT Team / Accommodation Tech Team Lead Manager 3: 

• Current active DoD TS/SCI with Polygraph clearance

• Degree or professional experience in Hardware or Digital Engineering OR Electromechanical or Electrical Engineering
• Use of Engineering management tools, such as DOORS or Cameo
• Experience with Model Based Systems Engineering (SysML/MBSE)

• Previous experience working in a Supplier Management Team
• Experience drafting Statements of Work and developing and managing schedules
• Familiarity with Project & Task Management tools: Jira, Confluence

Primary Level Salary Range: $187,000.00 - $280,600.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
