Technical Architect 

(Telecommute from any location within 50 miles of any Material Holdings office in the U.S.)

As a Technical Architect, you will 

  • Craft detailed software, infrastructure & data flow diagrams in tools like Lucid Charts and Miro.  

  • Create detailed technical architecture diagrams and present them to clients and team members.  

  • Coordinate with product delivery and management teams to define project roadmaps and timelines.  

  • Build APIs for Drupal 7 and Drupal 8 for applications based on decoupled Drupal architecture.  

  • Define Database strategy using RDBMS (such as MySQL) or NoSQL (such as Cassandra or MongoDB).  

  • Define DevOps and CI/CD strategy and tech stack using Kubernetes, Vagrant, Docker, etc.) for projects including Automation QA strategies and tech stack (such as using Jenkins, SonarQube, etc.).  

  • Define the Cloud Infrastructure strategy with the client for hosting on AWS or Microsoft Azure.  

  • Define development environment (Ubuntu/Microsoft, PHP versions, Drupal version, Cacheing engine, Angular.JS / React JS, etc.) and development practices (Code profiling, Debugging, etc.) for all Drupal developers, Frontend (Javascript) engineers, as well as QA engineers in the team.  

  • Build strategy for Search solutions -- both tech stack such as Apache SOLR and Elastic Search.  

 

Salary: $177,100 – $207,200/year  

 

Minimum Requirements 

  • Bachelor’s degree (or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or a closely related technical degree. 

  • 5 years of experience in the job offered, as Team Lead, Sr. Software Engineer or closely related technical position.  

  • 5 years of experience as a team lead on platform integration projects.  

  • Demonstrated experience with at least 1 CMS Platform: Drupal, Sitecore, AEM, Wordpress or Contentful 

  • Must have experience working on projects in at least one of the following domains: Automotive, Finance, FMCG, Healthcare, Entertainment, Transportation, Technology, Telecom, Retail or Consumer Services.
