Job Description: As a Caterpillar Parts Operations Consultant within the EAME Distribution Division, you will work with our Cat Dealers based in Europe, Africa, the Middle East, and Eurasia, as well as with our global Caterpillar Product Support & Logistics Division. In this role, you will ensure that the right parts are available for our customers at the right time and place, supporting our company's Services Growth strategy and Caterpillar brand promise. You will lead Cat Dealers’ capabilities improvement initiatives related to parts distribution & logistics, inventory management, order management, supply chain management, and sales & operations planning (Dealer Forward Planning).
EAME Distribution’s mission is to deliver superior customer experience, profitable market leadership and services growth through industry-best distribution performance. We provide governance and administration of Cat® dealers across Europe, Africa, the Middle East, and Eurasia.
Key Responsibilities:
Parts Excellence: Implement the Parts Excellence Program through assessments with Cat dealers. Maintain global consistency in parts operations metrics and attributes.
Parts Operations Analytics: Use data and KPIs to interpret market insights and lead change. Coordinate analytical work to solve problems.
Aftermarket Business Acumen: Collaborate with Aftermarket sales teams to inform Cat's Inventory Management team about future market events. Plan to improve parts availability & dealer profitability.
Project Management: Lead project teams to support improvements identified through the Parts Excellence Program, using process improvement methodologies.
Qualifications and skills:
Bachelor’s degree as a minimum.
3 to 6 years of prior experience in Parts distribution & logistics, inventory management, order management, supply chain management, or sales & operations planning (S&OP).
Industry knowledge such as mining, construction, energy & transportation (E&T), or fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG). Understanding of dealer or reseller service organizations and processes.
Advanced Data Analysis Skills & experience with ERP systems: Proficiency in data analysis tools and software (eg. excel, SQL, Python, or R), to analyze large datasets and derive actionable insights.
Customer Focus: Knowledge of the values and practices that align customer needs and satisfaction as primary considerations in all business decisions and ability to leverage that information in creating customized customer solutions.

Solicits customer satisfaction feedback and acts on improvement opportunities.
