Key Responsibilities:
Identify, evaluate, and manage hardware/software platforms for real-time and extended-time transient simulation models for GE gas turbine, steam turbine, and combined cycle power generation equipment.
Lead development and maintenance of transient simulation models for combined cycle, carbon capture, data center power plants, and support New Product Introduction (NPI) from concept through field verification.
Maintain and develop modeling standards for diverse power plant equipment.
Design and deliver new modular simulation concepts for gas turbines, steam turbines, heat recovery steam generators (HRSG), auxiliary systems, and carbon capture facilities.
Collaborate with procurement and engineering teams requisition teams by applying simulations/models to verify control software and NPI applications.
Conduct simulation studies to support critical New Product Introduction (NPI) and Readiness to Serve (RTS) programs.
Apply Lean thinking to create high-fidelity, user-friendly simulation capabilities across power system applications.
Lead NPI and/or development projects or simulation studies, managing and escalating project risks as appropriate and facilitating consensus on complex or sensitive issues.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Electrical, Chemical, or Mechanical Engineering and 1-2 years of relevant experience
Proficiency in FORTRAN, C/C++, and Python programming languages.
Desired Characteristics:
Gas Power Edison Engineer; Completion of LPX, Teardown Training; Progress toward completion of Engineering Masters degree and/or ACE Certificate
Strong system integration mindset within the power plant domain.
Well-balanced mix of technical and soft skills.
Experience with transient simulation and software packages (e.g., Easy5, Simulink, Modelica).
Familiarity with gas turbine, steam turbine, or power plant simulation and controls.
Demonstrated problem-solving skills, particularly in power plant systems integration.
Excellent communication skills, capable of conveying complex technology clearly and simply.
Demonstrates a Lean mindset, actively seeks feedback, and drives continuous improvement.
Takes ownership of work and consistently applies lessons learned to improve standard practices.

For candidates applying to a U.S. based position, the pay range for this position is between $80,000.00 and $120,000.00. The Company pays a geographic differential of 110%, 120% or 130% of salary in certain areas. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate’s experience, education, and skill set.
Bonus eligibility: discretionary annual bonus.
