About the Role:

Channel Sales Manager for South India, based in Chennai, will be responsible for managing the supply chain through distributor, retailers and library suppliers. Should be able to develop new initiatives to achieve revenue growth through new market segments. Achieve assigned targets through existing distribution network, and development of new distributors.

Responsibilities:

  • Building and maintaining effective long-term relationships and a high level of satisfaction with key senior-level decision makers and influencers at an assigned group of customer accounts that may include major strategic customers within a geographic or industry focus
  • Achieves revenue targets by increasing revenue spend per account, sales and revenue forecasting for budgetary
  • Identifies, develops and typically closes new sales opportunities
  • Monitoring performance of channel partners and taking corrective steps
  • Analysing competitor’s activities, Market trends and Provide feedback to management on the local market intelligence.
  • May conduct regular status and strategy meetings with the customer's senior management to understand their needs and link them to the organization's product/service strategies
  • Responsible for products/services or territories/accounts that have moderate complexity
  • Develops and applies deep knowledge of company’s products and solutions.

Requirements:

  • Strong understanding of channel sales in the Southern region – proven ability to manage and grow distributor networks.
  • Experience in legal publishing – will be considered an added advantage.
  • 5–7 years of experience in print sales – with a track record of achieving targets.
  • Exposure to academic engagement – including calling on institutions, seeking recommendations, and conducting book displays.
  • Academic Qualification- Graduate, MBA will be preferred
