Job Description:

Position Overview:

The Vice President of Retail Operations will be a strategic and operational leader overseeing all facets of retail operations across retail locations. This individual will drive customer experience improvements, enhance sales performance, and maximize profitability while ensuring operational excellence. The role involves leading a team of District Managers and supporting a workforce of 13,000 associates, all while fostering a culture of innovation and collaboration.

Key Responsibilities:

Leadership & Management

  • Lead and mentor a team of District Managers, fostering a high-performance, people-first culture.
  • Provide vision and direction to 13,000 associates across retail locations, aligning efforts with the company’s goals.

Customer Experience

  • Design and implement strategies to elevate the customer experience, ensuring exceptional service delivery across all locations.
  • Monitor customer satisfaction and leverage feedback to drive continuous improvement initiatives.

Sales & Profitability

  • Develop and execute strategic plans to meet and exceed sales targets, driving revenue growth.
  • Manage the Profit & Loss (P&L) for retail operations, ensuring profitability through cost optimization and operational efficiencies.

Operational Excellence

  • Lead initiatives to improve processes, streamline operations, and reduce costs.
  • Ensure adherence to company policies, industry regulations, and best practices.

Strategic Planning

  • Partner with the executive leadership team to develop and execute long-term strategies for retail operations.
  • Analyze market trends, competitor activities, and industry developments to inform strategic decision-making.

Team Development

  • Foster a positive, inclusive workplace culture that promotes teamwork, innovation, and professional growth.
  • Identify training and development needs, implementing programs to enhance the skills and competencies of team members.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor's Degree (Required) in Management, Business Administration, or a related field or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience. MBA preferred.
  • Experience:
    • Minimum of 10 years in retail operations, including 5+ years in senior leadership roles.
    • Demonstrated success managing large, multi-unit operations.
  • Skills:
    • Strong financial acumen with proven experience managing P&L statements.
    • Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal abilities.
    • Strategic thinking with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
