St Vincent’s Private Kew campus is a vibrant and dynamic environment with five operating theatres in a spacious and modern facility.

This exciting opportunity is for you to join our team at St Vincent’s Private Hospital Melbourne (SVPHM) Kew Campus as an ANUM of Orthopaedics in our Perioperative Department.

ABOUT YOUR NEW ROLE:

St Vincent’s Private Hospital-Kew campus is seeking a motivated individual to join our team within our perioperative theatre department as ANUM (Orthopaedic) on a permanent full time basis working a fixed term 76 hours per fortnight. 

You will join a high performing team and a workplace with relationships built on mutual trust and respect. The role will allow you to work together with a supportive Leadership team where we value our people and provide the opportunity to grow and develop as a leader in a friendly supportive perioperative team environment.

ABOUT YOU:
As an outstanding Orthopaedic ANUM, you are highly skilled at managing multiple priorities and being able to lead your team within an exemplary manner.


Selection Criteria

  • Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse, Division 1.
  • At least five (5) years’ experience working in Operating Theatres / Perioperative Services.
  • Previous ANUM / In-Charge / Floor Coordinator experience is preferred.
  • Advanced clinical skills and experience within Perioperative nursing including delivering high standards of clinical care for patients utilising specialist Orthopaedic knowledge.
  • Must have a degree of flexibility to work varying days/hours to meet the operational needs of the hospital and to participate in a rotating roster, including in-charge shifts.
  • Postgraduate study in Perioperative Nursing and/or management OR working towards is highly desirable.
  • Act as a positive model and leader in the perioperative unit, facilitating individual and team growth and development.
  • Demonstrated ability to operate both in a team environment and autonomously using initiative, sound reasoning and strong listening, negotiation and decision making skills.
  • Proven ability to lead portfolio work and engage staff effectively.
  • Ability to work in an ever-changing and fast paced environment.
  • Exceptional communication skills to be able to work collaboratively and consult with VMO's to ensure the best practice and patient outcomes are achieved.
  • Capacity to lead and inspire a team of clinical professionals and act as a passionate mentor to junior staff.
  • Working knowledge of ANZCA, ACORN and NSQHS Standards.
