Currently our Carole Park IT team are seeking an IT Automation Specialist to join the team. As the IT Automation Specialist you will support IT Automation systems across Manufacturing, Engineering, and Quality systems, managing IT system enhancements, compliance, troubleshooting, documentation, and project delivery with stakeholders and vendors.

Key duties and responsibilities include:

  • Participate in IT automation projects and coordinate assigned activities with stakeholders.
  • Maintain inventory and documentation for automated systems and instruments generating electronic data, including validation, SOPs, alarms, CPPs, and network details.
  • Review and improve user and role management processes for automated systems.
  • Identify enhancement opportunities such as Active Directory integration, OPC connectivity, time synchronization, redundancy, and centralized controls.
  • Review and manage backup, restoration, archival, and disaster recovery processes for automated systems.
  • Maintain program backups and technical documentation for PLC, HMI, SCADA, and related systems.
  • Manage server and client systems, software upgrades, patching, and version control while ensuring compliance.
  • Support evaluation of new technologies and automation initiatives with recommendations for improvement.
  • Strong understanding of instrumentation, control systems, and automation in pharmaceutical manufacturing environments.

To be considered for this role candidates should posses:

  • Tertiary qualifications in IT, Computer Engineering, Computer Science and/or similar
  • Experience with systems such as MES, Data Historian, SAP Fiori and/or BMS is highly desirable
  • Experience or knowledge of pharmaceutical compliance requirements desirable
  • Understanding in IT infrastructure including servers, networks, storage, operating systems, antivirus, and backup systems.
  • Good project management, communication, troubleshooting, problem-solving, and teamwork skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Officer, and familiar with tools such as AutoCAD, Visio, SAP
  • Excellent time management skills and prioritisation skills
