Job Description Qualifications:

Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) is seeking a Customer Support Flight Engineering Manager to support the Customer Support - Flight Operations team located in Rzeszow, Poland. 

Flight Operations Support (FOS) routinely supports resolution of in-service issues and provides 24/7 support to our Commercial Airplanes customers.  As a manager, you will provide key support to employees working with our internal Boeing stakeholders as well as our customers, regulators, and industry partners to provide the highest quality products and services to ensure safety, regulatory compliance, and operational efficiency.  You will also work within FOS on continual improvement of our internal processes and tools, employee development and engagement, and other key initiatives. This position requires an individual with excellent communication and relationship-building skills who is comfortable interacting with diverse cultures.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Manages employees performing activities within multiple (2 or more) Engineering disciplines.
  • Provides guidance and approval of technical approaches, products and processes.
  • Manages, develops and motivates employees.
  • Develops and executes project and process plans, implements policies and procedures and sets operational goals.
  • Acquires resources for projects and processes, provides technical management of suppliers and leads process improvements.
  • Develops and maintains relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners and direct reports.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor of Science degree or higher from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science.
  • 5+ years of experience in support of aerospace products, which should include commercial and/or military airplanes.
  • 2+ years of experience leading an engineering team.
  • Existing right to work in Poland.

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Proven ability to embrace change, lead continuous improvement, and treat safety and quality as top priorities
  • Experience in customer support
  • Experience and success leading complex technical projects across multiple disciplines
  • Knowledge of industry trends (customers, regulators, competitors, etc).
  • Willingness and ability to manage ambiguity and turn it into action.

This position is expected to be full time onsite with some limited telecommuting.  The selected candidate will be required to work onsite in Rzeszow, Poland.

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills and Experience):

  • Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in Mechanical, Aerospace, Manufacturing, or related fields (e.g. Bachelor)

  • Able to work collaboratively with multi-functional team and work flexible hours to meet the business needs

  • Flexible & adaptable in a diverse & fast paced environment

  • 2 or more years of experience with Manufacturing Engineering

  • Solid communicator in both written and verbal English

  • Familiar with creation of instructions and necessary tools or applications for optimization of the working process
