ROLE: Claims Examiner

LOCATION:        Remote Flexible working with the opportunity to work from Chatham/London

TYPE:                  Permanent, Full-time (37.5 hrs per week)

An Associate Claims Examiner works as part of a Team under the direction of a Team Manager, performing standard technical checks and processes as they relate to the risk being processed to ensure that agreed market SLAs in respect of turnaround and quality are achieved.

All work processed must meet agreed service levels in respect of quality and turnaround times.

Training will be provided for all insurance documentation/systems required to perform the role.

What you will be doing

  • Conducts technical checks on insurance documentation to ensure accuracy, able to notice discrepancies or errors within the documentation. This includes using specific IT based systems to support the technical process with some supervision/referral where applicable.

  • Liaise with customers and brokers to resolve queries and issues related to the work being processed.

  • Ownership of own workload

  • Input details into the database to initiate settlement/updates.

  • Complete accurate reporting associated to the work being processed.

  • Supports and inputs to innovation and process improvement projects.

  • Reviewing/validating insurance documentation.

  • Strong numeracy, verbal and literacy skills

  • Computer literate with working knowledge of Outlook and MS Office

  • Work to a high level of accuracy with attention to detail

  • Strong organisational, personal and time management skills

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

  • Excellent Customer Service skills

  • Ability to demonstrate strong negotiating and influencing skills.

  • Positive attitude and natural curiosity to identify improvements.
