Our expansion into new markets has created a need for a high performing business development leader focused on government deposit and payments.

As a director you'll be in a senior-level leadership position responsible for executing on the division's strategy to lead the growth and development of deposits in the government sector. We are looking for a candidate who is successful at interfacing with all levels of management and understands the value of true collaboration, has high energy, and maintains an optimistic view, even in challenging environments. The ideal candidate excels at converting networking leads and opportunities into wins. Responsible for supporting the Senior Managing Director of the Juris Banking, NBL in executing the Bank's strategic plan, with specific focus of leading the efforts to grow the government deposit portfolio.

What we are looking for:

  • Oversee and expand the portfolio of sourced government deposit business, while also managing and guiding the portfolios of your team members.
  • Develop and drive a nimble, innovative growth strategy to source government business.
  • Partner with Marketing and Product teams to develop messaging and servicing offering platforms that will drive success.
  • Develop and execute an industry plan (e.g. conferences, events, associations, ad placements, thought leadership pieces) to help expand brand awareness and additional sources of new business.
    Be the voice of the client and the broader marketplace as part of the Juris Banking team. Participate in business strategy sessions and work actively with teammates to brainstorm out-of-the box market disruption ideas.

What you need to have

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field
  • 8+ years of related experience in legal banking or other related service/industry, with experience managing full service (deposit, loan, and credit) relationships.
  • Advanced knowledge of general banking operations.
  • Proven experience in business development within the government sector.
  • Demonstrated ability to navigate complex government relationships and work with decision makers at all levels.
  • Experience Leading sales and developing a sales strategy. Developing and holding teams accountable for KPIs and performance standards.
  • Advanced knowledge of applicable regulatory and legal compliance obligations, rules and regulations, industry standards, and practices.
  • Strong speaking and writing skills for internal and external audiences

Compensation: Salary range for new hires is generally $200,000.00 - $257,000.00 for San Diego, CA. Salary amount is determined by specific job location. In addition, the role may be eligible for annual bonus/incentives earned and restricted stock.
