Job Title: MS Azure SQL Developer (Intermediate Level) ________________________________________ Role Overview We are looking for an experienced Azure SQL Developer to design, develop, and optimize SQL solutions in a cloud environment. The ideal candidate will have strong skills in T-SQL, Azure SQL Database, and data integration, along with experience in performance tuning and working with large-scale data systems. ________________________________________ Key Responsibilities • Database Development & Maintenance o Design and develop Azure SQL databases, tables, views, stored procedures, and functions. o Implement data models and ensure data integrity across environments. • Performance Optimization o Conduct query tuning, indexing strategies, and optimize parallel query execution. o Monitor and troubleshoot performance issues in Azure SQL. • Data Integration & ETL o Work with Azure Data Factory and other ETL tools to integrate data from multiple sources. o Ensure smooth data migration and transformation processes. • Testing & Quality Assurance o Perform parallel testing and validate data consistency under concurrent loads. o Collaborate with QA teams to design and execute test cases for SQL workloads. • Deployment & Automation o Implement CI/CD pipelines for database deployments using Azure DevOps. o Maintain version control and ensure compliance with best practices. • Documentation & Governance o Document database architecture, processes, and security guidelines. o Ensure adherence to data governance and security standards. ________________________________________ Required Skills • Strong proficiency in Azure SQL Database and T-SQL. • Experience with query optimization, indexing, and performance tuning. • Knowledge of transaction isolation levels, concurrency control, and locking mechanisms. • Familiarity with Azure Data Factory, ETL pipelines, and data migration. • Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices. ________________________________________ Preferred Skills • Experience with Azure Synapse Analytics or SQL Server. • Knowledge of data warehousing concepts and BI integration. • Familiarity with Power BI for reporting and visualization. ________________________________________ Education • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field. Experience: 3–5 years
