CMC are hiring! We have a permanent opportunity for a Head of Growth Marketing to join our Marketing team, based in our Barangaroo, Sydney office. Please note that we operate onsite working and would require you to come into our Barangaroo office 5 days per week.

Please note that this role is only open to Sydney based candidates with full, permanent working rights (Citizen/Permanent Resident).

CMC Markets is a global leader in CFD trading and share investing. Our vision is to provide the ultimate online trading experience so everyone can achieve their financial potential. Since our launch in London in 1989, we’ve expanded globally with offices across Europe and Asia Pacific. Over 1.2 million clients make 67 million trades with us every year, and we’re still growing.

In this role, you will play a pivotal role in scaling our business by taking a data-backed approach to developing and executing regional-level growth strategy. We're looking for a fearless and articulate growth leader who blends creativity, growth intuition, and quant capability to deliver growth from places expected (product marketing, performance channels, lifecycle marketing, website management & development and onboarding optimization) and… less expected (insert your "so wild it just might work" idea here).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead a cross functional growth workstream, supporting regional business revenue goals by aggressively prioritising the highest impact projects and constantly improving the velocity and quality of execution.

  • Manage and grow a high-performing growth marketing team (performance, lifecycle, content & web dev), fostering a culture of creativity (good ideas and growth opportunities can come from anywhere!) and continuous improvement.

  • Lifecycle Vision: Set the overall insights-led retention and lifecycle vision, defining critical short-and long-term priorities to enhance our program, driving us toward that vision and expanding its impact on an ongoing basis.

  • Performance: Drive both paid digital and SEO strategy to deliver efficient acquisition and activation with enhanced FPD, improved optimisations, ongoing testing framework and specialist agency support.

  • Personalization: Help drive our lifecycle and comms personalization agenda forward, influencing improvements across our tech stack, in collaboration with UK, to enable testing and ensure maximal impact on our engagement and re-engagement channels.

  • Analyze market data and performance marketing data to manage large budgets for paid advertising across search, social, display and video while maintaining cost efficiency targets.

  • Own website conversion targets to identify new opportunities and roll out messaging, UX, and website performance changes in collaboration with Product Marketing and GTM teams.

  • Own the strategy for effectively scaling performance marketing channels, including affiliates, search marketing, paid social media, lifecycle, and traditional audio and video advertising.

  • Work closely with marketing data science to implement and maintain a rigorous incrementality-based measurement approach.

  • Stay abreast of the latest trends and technologies in digital marketing, applying best practices to our growth efforts.

  • Build an Audience-First Approach: Putting our target audiences at the centre of every decision we make, developing an understanding of how best to reach and inspire said audiences, and knowing what data to leverage and how to access and interpret it.

  • Be the customer champion by leading VoC work and ensuring feedback to the wider business to drive operational change and product growth.

Key Skills & Experience:

  • 8-12 years of relevant experience in growth or performance marketing, with a proven track record of supporting scaling businesses. Experience scaling budgets to 8 figures and beyond.

  • At least 5 years of experience in people management, with the ability to lead, motivate, and develop a team.

  • Extensive experience with incrementality-based measurement approaches and a deep understanding of how to leverage these strategies to scale performance channels effectively.

  • Strong communication skills. Proven effectiveness at collaborating and influencing executive stakeholders, distilling complex problems into simple drivers in support of effective decision making.

Benefits:

  • Competitive salary + annual discretionary bonus
  • Charity give-back days.
  • 1 extra annual day of leave for your birthday.
  • A dedicated benefits & wellbeing hub, for you to save on groceries, access retailer discounts and enjoy various resources to enhance your physical & mental wellbeing.
  • Receive an extra day of annual leave after each year of service (max 25 days of annual leave after 5 years of service).
  • Social Club, Women@CMC, LinkedIn Learning and more.
