We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Controller to join our team at Mold-Masters and DME in Querétaro. Mold-Masters and DME are global leaders in highly engineered equipment, customized solutions, and aftermarket parts and services for the plastic processing industry. With a large, worldwide installed base, we serve mission-critical markets including automotive, consumer goods, custom molders, packaging, construction, medical, and electronics. Reporting directly to the Chief Financial Officer (CFO), the Controller will play a vital role in overseeing the financial operations of the organization, ensuring compliance with all relevant policies, standards, and regulations. Key Responsibilities:
Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A)
Develop and oversee annual budgets, forecasts, and financial models tailored to the plastics aftermarket sector.
Conduct variance analysis to identify deviations from budgets and provide actionable insights.
Support strategic initiatives through financial evaluation and scenario analysis.
Financial Reporting & Compliance
Ensure timely and accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with IFRS/GAAP.
Ensure compliance with local regulations, tax laws, and industry standards.
Facilitate internal and external audits, follow up on audit findings, and implement corrective actions.
Maintain compliance with local tax laws, corporate policies, and government regulations, including payroll-related payments (IMSS, insurance, etc.)
Cost Control & Profitability Management
Conduct profitability analysis by product line, customer, and region to optimize resource allocation and margins.
Oversee the proper recording of all company operations within the current ERP system, ensuring data integrity.
Monitor costs across sales, operations, logistics, and technical services, identifying opportunities for efficiency improvements.
Operational Controlling
Collaborate with sales, operations, and logistics teams to establish KPIs and performance metrics.
Provide financial insights to support operational decision-making.
Track inventory levels, work-in-progress, and supply chain costs to optimize working capital.
Multi customers attendance, with Accounts Receivable aging~400 open customers.
Cash Flow & Treasury Management
Manage cash flow forecasting, banking relationships, and liquidity planning.
Oversee credit management, collections, payments, and treasury activities, ensuring confidentiality and compliance.
Systems & Process Optimization
Maintain and improve ERP and financial systems to ensure data integrity and reporting accuracy.
Standardize financial processes and controls across departments.
Supervise payroll processing and ensure confidentiality in related transactions.
Team Leadership & Development
Lead, mentor, and develop the finance team, providing necessary resources and setting clear departmental goals.
Set departmental objectives, evaluate performance, and promote a culture of continuous improvement.
Reporting & Communication
Prepare comprehensive monthly closing reports and financial statements.
Present financial insights and performance metrics to senior management.
Identify opportunities for process improvements within the finance function and implement best practices.
Qualifications:
Proficient in both English and Spanish, with strong verbal and written communication skills in both languages.
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field; CPA or CMA preferred.
Minimum of 8-10 years of financial controlling experience, preferably within the plastics or manufacturing industry.
Strong understanding of the automotive industry.
Extensive knowledge of accounting, taxation, transfer pricing, cost analysis, profitability management and operational controlling.
Experience working with multi-currency transactions and foreign trade operations.
Familiarity with US GAAP, NIF standards, and SOX compliance.
Proven experience in audit coordination, internal controls, and compliance.
Strong proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle), reporting tools (e.g., OneStream), and advanced Excel skills.
Excellent analytical, leadership, and communication skills.
Demonstrated ability to foster teamwork and maintain a positive work environment in a fast-paced, dynamic setting, with cross-functional teams.
